BIASISWA SISWI SAFI 2025 TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern participation in the Biasiswa Siswi Safi (“Scholarship”) offered by SAFI Malaysia (“SAFI”). By participating, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions.
 

  1. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Scholarship, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Gender & Age: Female student, aged between 18-25 years old.
  • Residency: Malaysian resident with valid identification (MyKad / MyPR).
  • Financial Need: Belonging to a household with total net income of less than RM 10,000 per month (as of year 2025)
  • Exclusivity of Financial Support: Not a recipient of any other sponsorship or loan or any form of financial assistance from any organization, either domestic or international (e.g. PTPTN loan, JPA or MARA)
  • Good Academic Standing: Having CGPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Leadership and Community Service: Demonstrate leadership and aspirational qualities, and active involvement in community or co-curricular activities.
  • Educational Status: Students who have received an official offer or are currently in their first year (Semester 1 or 2) at any of the following universities:

The above list of universities may be subject to change due to various factors yet unforeseen at time of planning and at SAFI’s discretion. Any changes will be updated via the official website http://biasiswasiswisafi.com.my.

  1. Application Process

Each applicant must:

    1. Submit an online application through the designated portal. The application should include a personal statement highlighting the applicant's details, financial background, educational aspirations, and alignment with SAFI's Mission; and

    1. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to submit a short content social lifestyle video introducing the applicant and explaining why she deserves the Scholarship - via the designated portal where the video will be uploaded.
  1. Selection Process Stage 1: Application Review

      Personal Data & Photo Submission: Applicants shall submit their personal information along with a selfie to begin the assessment process.

      Eligibility & Mission Alignment: Applications are evaluated based on eligibility criteria and how well they align with SAFI’s mission and values.

Stage 2: Self Introduction Video Submission

      Selected candidates at this Stage are required to share a Self-Introduction Video: Candidates are required to introduce themselves, highlighting their motivations and aspirations. The video should also explain why the candidate deserves the scholarship.

Stage 3: Online Interview

  • Video Live Interview: Shortlisted candidates will participate in an online interview conducted by SAFI’s representatives to further assess their suitability and alignment with the scholarship’s goals.

Stage 4: Boot Camp Invitation

  • Top (40) finalists will be chosen to attend a BootCamp:

This phase is designed to engage their personality and resourcefulness through various social challenges. It is also a good networking opportunity for top 40 finalists to attend and meet the SAFI team in person.

Stage 5: Official Scholarship Announcement

  • Scholarship Ceremony: Top (25) finalists will be announced as Scholarship Recipients between September and October 2025 and will be required to attend a ceremony with details on the location, time and date to be provided by SAFI representatives.

  1. Scholarships and Benefits

The Scholarship covers university tuition fees as billed by the university and a fixed semester-based allowance of RM1,500. Scholarship funds are disbursed directly to the respective Scholarship Recipient’s university in the case of tuition fees; and to the Scholarship Recipient's bank account in the case of fixed allowance.

Please note that the scholarship DOES NOT cover any expenses not specifically mentioned above.

The disbursement of scholarship funds will be at intervals based on the remaining length of study for each chosen Scholarship Recipient. Continued disbursement is contingent upon the Scholarship Recipient’s continuing to consistently meet the Program Commitments, and terms and conditions of the Scholarship.

The duration of the Scholarship provided is only up to the completion of the study period specified by respective universities. No extensions are allowed.
 

  1. Program Commitments

    1. All Scholarship Recipients are expected to maintain good academic (GPA 3.0 or higher every semester) and behavioral standards of a morally positive, exemplary student and actively participate in program activities. Failure to meet any of these expectations shall lead to the termination of the scholarship.

    1. All Scholarship Recipients are required to consistently meet all eligibility criteria and submit proof of academic performance, financial status and need, and co-curricular involvement through a designated reporting system each academic term. This system may be a combination of online and in person sessions which will be determined and instructed by SAFI.

Failure to comply with any of the Scholarship requirements may result in the Scholarship being terminated.

    1. All Scholarship Recipients are obliged to provide a highlighted social story account of their educational journey, titled “My Journey with SAFI,” to inspire other students to achieve aspirational results in their life. The frequency of this journey uploads will be assumed to be monthly until specified otherwise.

SAFI reserves the right to use these submissions/postings/all content created during this program for promotional activities.
 

  1. Code of Conduct

    1. Applicants must adhere to a code of conduct that promotes respect and integrity in Malaysia and the SAFI brand.

    1. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or unprofessional behavior in person or online will not be tolerated and will cause termination of the Scholarship.

    1. Parents/guardians and family are encouraged to be involved in the Scholarship process, supporting the applicant's educational journey.
       
  1. Termination of Scholarship

The Scholarship may be terminated if a Scholarship Recipient:

    1. fails to meet academic or behavioral standards;
    2. fails to comply with program rules or Program Commitments under Article 6;
    3. fails to comply with any of the Scholarship’s terms and conditions;
    4. if scholarship funds are used for any item other than the pursuit of education;
    5. if false information is discovered at any point in the scholarship application; or
    6. engage or have intention to engage with political movements or illegal activities which may tarnish SAFI’s brand image.

In the event of termination of the Scholarship, the Scholarship Recipient may appeal said termination within (30) days by providing sufficient evidence of compliance. SAFI may reinstate the Scholarship at its sole discretion.

  1. Liability Waiver

SAFI is not responsible for any injuries mentally and/or physically sustained during study tenure.

  1. Privacy Policy

Personal information collected will be treated with care and confidentiality where suitable and used for the purposes of the Scholarship program. Appropriate information or media assets gathered by SAFI may be used for marketing or informational purposes tastefully at SAFI’s discretion.
 

  1. Rights Reserved

    1. SAFI reserves the right to verify the information provided by applicants and disqualify any applicant found to have provided false information.

    1. SAFI always reserves the right to vary, modify, delete or add to these terms and conditions. SAFI further reserves the right to modify or cancel the Scholarship program at any time without prior notice.

    1. SAFI reserves the right to involve the Scholarship Recipients in interviews, advertisements, photography, or other publicity-related activities for the purpose of promoting the Scholarship program.

    1. SAFI reserves the right to change the eligible universities list which will be notified on the official website.

    1. In the event of a dispute on the eligibility for the Scholarship, the decision made by SAFI is final.
       
  1. Publicity

All Scholarship Recipients will, at SAFI’s request, participate in publicity relating to the Scholarship program. This may include Scholarship Recipient(s) being filmed, photographed, and/or interviewed by SAFI or third party on SAFI’s behalf. This may also result in content created for the purpose of social media sharing by SAFI.
 

  1. Miscellaneous

    1. Unless expressly stated by SAFI in the written scholarship materials, the sponsorship is in no way sponsored or endorsed by any third party.

    1. In the event these terms and conditions are available in any other language, the English language version shall always take precedence in the event of any inconsistency.

    1. Each provision in these terms and conditions is severable. If any provision is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court or other competent authority, that invalidity or unenforceability will not affect the remainder of these terms and conditions.

    1. The headings used in these terms and conditions are for reference and convenience only and shall not be taken into consideration in the interpretation or construction of these terms and conditions.

  1. Governing Law and Disputes

    1. These terms of conditions are governed by and will be interpreted according to the laws of Malaysia.

    1. Without restricting anyone from seeking injunctions or other temporary relief in a competent court, in the event of dispute arising out of these terms and conditions or supply of the Scholarship, such disputes shall be instituted exclusively in the courts of Malaysia.

By applying for the BIASISWA SISWI SAFI, applicants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
