Wearing a retainer helps you to maintain that sweet, beautiful and straight smile in shape. But keeping it clean, fresh and bacteria-free? That’s a whole other story. 😮💨 Good news is Polident is here to save the day (and your breath) with Polident Pro Retainer & Guard Daily Cleanser! 😎
Let us show you a quick and simple step-by-step guide on how to use this retainer cleanser.

Step 1: Soak it Right

Fill a clean glass (or any container, as long as your retainer can be fully submerged) with warm water and drop one Polident Pro Retainer & Guard tablet. Hot or boiling water will cause the retainer to soften and deform (since it’s plastic) and may not fit your teeth properly anymore. You can use cold water, it’s just that the cleaning agents will take a longer time to activate. 😉
Step 2: Let it Soak 🕒

Place your retainer into the solution and leave it soak for 3 – 5 minutes. You will notice the tablet fizzes in Step 1 earlier. Bit of science explanation here; Retainer cleaning tablets fizzes up when placed in water due to the chemical reaction between the tablet’s ingredients.
When it fizzes, it releases bubbles. These bubbles help to dislodge particles and stains from the retainer surface. Warm water fastens the process, that’s why it is highly recommended to use it.
💡 Tip: While your retainer soaks, brush with Sensodyne Repair & Protect for a total mouth refresh!
Step 3: Drain and Rinse 💧

After soaking, remove your retainer and rinse thoroughly under running water. Be sure there’s no cleanser left on it. Discard the used solution right after cleaning. Now you’re all set—your retainer is clean, odour-free, and ready to wear. 😁
