185 Super Smile Meter Game – Terms & Conditions (“Terms”)

Campaign Overview
1. The 185 Super Smile Meter Game (“Game”) is operated by Watsons Malaysia (“Watsons”, “we”, “us”) on the Watsons App (“App”) during the period from [23 April 2026 ] to [31 May 2026] , or until earlier termination.
2. By participating in the Game, you confirm that you accept these Terms and that you agree to comply with them.
3. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not participate in the Game.

There are other terms that apply to you
1. In addition to these Terms, the following terms also apply to your participation in the Game:
  1. Our Terms of Use. This governs your use of the App.
  2. Our Privacy Policy . This sets out the terms on which we process any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us. By using the App, you consent to such processing in accordance with the Privacy Policy, and you confirm that any information you provide is accurate and up to date.

We may make changes to these Terms
1. We may amend these Terms from time to time. Any amended Terms will be published in the App and will take effect from the date of publication. These Terms were most recently updated on [ April] [ 2026].
2. Your use of the App or continued participation in the Game after any amendment constitutes your agreement to be bound by the amended Terms. If you do not agree to any amended Terms, you must stop using the App and must not participate in the Game.

Access to the Game
1. The App and the Game are made available free of charge. Access to the App is permitted on a temporary basis.
2. We do not guarantee that the Game, or any content, will always be available or be uninterrupted and will not be liable if, for any reason, the Game is unavailable at any time or for any period. We reserve the right to amend, suspend, withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of the Game without notice whereby permitted by law.
3. The App is a software application that requires internet access. In the event of internet failure, some data could be lost. We cannot be held liable for such internet failures.
4. You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to the App. You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access the App through your internet connection are aware of these Terms and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.

Eligibility
1. The Game is open to customers who:
  1. have a registered Watsons Online Account (as a Watsons Club Member or an eShopper) in Malaysia; and
  2. access and participate in the Game through the App.
2. Participation is subject to local laws, Watsons membership rules, and these Terms.

How the Game Works

Accessing and Playing the Game

1. You can access the Game via the App on a compatible device with a camera.
2. Using the in-app camera, you are prompted to smile. The Game assesses certain visual features captured at the moment the photo is taken in order to generate a Smile Meter score, which reflects the extent to which a smile is detected at that time.
3. The Smile Meter score is generated automatically by the App based on the photo captured during gameplay. The scoring is for entertainment and promotional purposes only, and does not represent an objective measurement of emotions, expressions, health condition or identity.
4. Once you tap “Save” to save their photo, the game round is completed and the captured photo will display the final Smile Meter score. The score is final for that game round and cannot be adjusted or recalculated.
5. For avoidance of doubt, the captured photo is not retained by us and is processed solely to generate the Smile Meter score. It is not used for identity verification, facial recognition, profiling or marketing. All processing of the captured photo (whether by us or by any third‑party technology provider engaged by us) will be carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Game Rounds and Limits

1. The Game is organised to be running in total from [23 April 2026] [00:00:00] to [31May 2026] [23:59:59] (local time).
2. In each round, you may receive one (1) coupon only, awarded upon the first completed play in that round that meets the minimum score requirement (“Coupon”).
3. Further plays within the same round will not result in additional Coupons, even if a higher score is achieved.

Coupon Types Based on Scores

1. Two types of Coupons may be awarded depending on the final score achieved:
  - Score of 100 – RM10 off min spend RM50 (20%)
  - Score of 1-99 – RM6 off min spend RM40 (15%)
2. The corresponding Coupon type will be issued to your Watsons Online Account, subject to these Terms.

Fair Play

1. You must only capture your own photo when playing the Game. You must not upload, capture or submit photos of any other person, images generated by artificial intelligence, edited images, screenshots, pre‑recorded images or other non‑live images.
2. You must not capture, submit or display any content that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory or inappropriate, or could be considered offensive to any race, religion, or royalty. This includes, without limitation, any sexually explicit material, sexual innuendo, sexual language or sexual acts, actions or gestures, or any content that may be reasonably considered objectionable or unsuitable for a general audience.
3. You must not attempt to manipulate, interfere with or improperly influence the Game, the Smile Meter scoring mechanism or the outcome of any game round. This includes (without limitation) attempting to exploit errors, bugs or technical vulnerabilities, or taking any action intended to gain an unfair advantage over other participants.
4. Watsons reserves the right to review, suspend or void any play that appears fraudulent, manipulated, abusive or generated by automated tools, and to cancel any related Coupons or restrict accounts accordingly. This includes (without limitation) the use of bots, scripts, emulators, modified apps, or any method that interferes with the normal operation of the Game.

Coupon Issuance and Ownership
1. Each Coupon:
  1. is issued digitally and will be shown in the App under the relevant account after a qualifying Game round;
  2. is linked to one Watsons Online Account;
  3. is non-transferable, not exchangeable for cash, and not for resale or gifting; and
  4. subject to the 185 Super Smile Meter Coupon – Terms & Conditions.

Coupon Validity
1. Each Coupon has a specified validity period, which will be shown in the App. Coupons are valid for use within the same weekly campaign cycle only and will expire at the end of the respective week, as determined by Watsons Malaysia.
2. Expired Coupons will not be extended or reissued, except where required by applicable law.
3. Coupons are valid for use only in Watsons Malaysia.

Redemption Rules by Customer Type
1. Watsons Club Membership (Linked Online Account)
  1. If you hold a valid Watsons Club Membership linked to your Watsons Online Account, you may redeem Coupons as follows:

In-store (offline):

Present the Coupon QR code or your Member QR code from the App at checkout before payment. If the purchase is eligible, the Coupon will be automatically redeemed and applied immediately to eligible items in the same transaction. You cannot choose whether or when to redeem the Coupon once presented. Multiple Coupons, whether issued under the Game or other campaigns, may be used in a single in-store transaction, subject to eligibility and any applicable coupon‑specific terms.

Online (App / website):

Select the Coupon at checkout on the App or Watsons’ website before completing payment. The Coupon will apply only if you choose to use it. Only one Coupon, whether issued under the Game or any other campaign, may be used per online transaction, subject to eligibility and any applicable coupon‑specific terms.

1. eShoppers (No Linked Membership)
  1. An eShopper is a customer who has registered a Watsons Online Account that is not linked to any valid Watsons Club Membership.
  2. Coupons issued to eShoppers may be redeemed online only on App or Watsons’ website by selecting the Coupon at checkout before payment. . The Coupon will apply only if you choose to use it.
  3. Only one Coupon, whether issued under the Game or any other campaign, may be used per online transaction, subject to eligibility and any applicable coupon‑specific terms.
  4. Redemption at Watsons physical stores is not available to eShoppers.
2. Each Coupon can only be used once. Once applied (in-store or online), a Coupon is treated as used and will not be reissued if the related transaction is cancelled or refunded, unless required by applicable law.

Usage Conditions and Exclusions
1. Unless otherwise stated in the App or Coupon description, each Coupon is limited to one use per account and may be used in one transaction only.
2. Coupons may be subject to:
  1. minimum spend;
  2. product, brand or category restrictions; and/or
  3. channels limitations (as shown in the App).
3. Coupons issued under the game are valid for Watsons house brand products only. The coupon may be redeemed exclusively for products under the following brands:

  - HAIR SYSTEM BY WATSONS
  - WATER360 BY WATSONS

4. Coupons cannot be combined with selected promotions, staff discounts or partner offers, unless expressly permitted.
5. Coupons are valid for use within the same weekly campaign cycle only and will expire at the end of the respective week, as determined by Watsons Malaysia. Any unused coupons will be automatically forfeited upon expiry and cannot be carried forward, extended, or reissued.

Refunds, Returns and Cancellations
1. If a transaction involving a Coupon is refunded or cancelled:
  1. the Coupon discount will not be refunded in cash and the Coupon will not be reissued, unless required by applicable law; and
  2. only the amount actually paid by you (after the Coupon discount) will be refunded, subject to applicable law and Watsons’ refund policy.
2. For partial refunds or returns, refunds may be adjusted to reflect the Coupon benefit used in that transaction.
3. For avoidance of doubt, the Coupon provides a promotional benefit only and does not represent cash value or credit owed to you, except to the extent required by applicable law.

Technical Issues
1. You are responsible for using a compatible device, stable internet connection, and enabling camera access in order to access the App, play the Game and redeem Coupons.
2. Watsons will not be responsible for:
  1. network, device or system issues that prevent gameplay, Coupon issuance or redemption; or
  2. lost or deleted Coupons caused by your action (e.g., app reinstallation, device reset or account changes), where usage records cannot be verified.

Fraud, Misuse and Disqualification
1. Watsons may disqualify any participant, cancel any Coupon or restrict any Watsons Online Account if fraud, misuse, manipulation of the Game or breach of these Terms is suspected.
2. Watsons’ decision on all matters relating to the Game, Coupon issuance and redemption will be final, without prejudice to any statutory rights consumers may have under applicable law.

Changes and Termination
1. Watsons may amend, suspend or end the Game or any related Coupon offer at any time where permitted by law.
2. Unless otherwise stated in the App (and where permitted by law), Coupons already issued before suspension/termination will remain valid until their stated expiry date.
3. Any updates to these Terms will be published on the App and/or relevant campaign page and will take effect from the date of publication.

Limitation of liability
1. The App and the Game are provided for domestic and private use only. You agree not to use them for any commercial or business purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
2. To the extent permitted by law, we, other members of the AS Watson Group of companies and third parties connected to us hereby expressly exclude all liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage; any other loss or damage caused by tort including negligence; or for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered incurred, by any user in connection with the App or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of the App, any websites linked to it and any materials posted or uploaded on it.
3. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for matters that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Governing Law and Disputes
1. These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
2. Watsons reserves the right to make the final decision on matters relating to the Game and Coupons, without prejudice to any rights customers may have under applicable local laws.
3. In the event of inconsistency between language versions, the English version shall prevail.

Overview
1. These Coupon Terms apply to the digital coupons issued by Watsons Malaysia (“Watsons”, “we”, “us”) to eligible customers’ Watsons Online Accounts in connection with the 185 Super Smile Meter Game (the “Game”) (each a “Coupon”).
2. By receiving and/or redeeming a Coupon, you agree to be bound by these Coupon Terms, our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy .
3. If you do not agree to these Coupon Terms, do not use the Coupon.

Eligibility
1. Coupons are issued only to customers who have a registered Watsons Online Account (as a Watsons Club Member or an eShopper) in Malaysia and who have fulfilled the relevant eligibility criteria for Game through which the Coupon is issued.
2. Coupon availability, issuance and redemption are subject to applicable laws, Watsons membership rules (where applicable), the 185 Super Smile Meter Game – Terms & Conditions, and these Coupon Terms, each as amended from time to time.
